While tattoo removal laser light emitted by the Nd: YAG is absorbed through the skin layer, in which dye is placed – a tattoo. Under the influence of laser pulses in a cell which is contained pigment, are destroyed with time and then are absorbed by the body’s immune system. The main advantage of laser tattoo removal is its effectiveness. The treatment is very painful and the use of Nd: YAG reduces the risk of scarring to a minimum. During the procedure there is no breach of the tissue, thus minimizing the possibility of infection. In addition, upon request make anesthesia for example: using the ointment.

The number of treatments needed to remove a tattoo is an individual matter – it must be assumed that the required average is about 3-8 treatments. This dependence results, among others on factors such as:

• type of ink,
• depth at which it was placed under the skin,
• client’s personal attributes.

Surgery is not performed in patients who have:

• pregnancy,
• diabetes,
• skin diseases,
• prone to discoloration and bliznowaceń,
• hemophilia,
• cardiac pacemaker,
• intense tan,
• changes in viral or bacterial skin
• prone to infection,
• lowered immunity,
• cold,
• HIV (after surgery decreases resistance to infection).

Surgery is not performed well in people: the influence of alcohol, drugs, psychotropic drugs, steroids and taking photosensitizing medications (eg some antibiotics: tetracycline, doxycycline, derived from vitamin A).
